Description

The Asian Group describes a group of cats developed primarily in England. These cats are of European Burmese type but differ in color, patterns, and coat lengths. There are both shorthairs and semi- longhairs in this group.

The variety is endless; tabbies are bred in all recognized patterns. Burmillas, Bombays and Tiffanies fall into this group of cats, and have been included here.

Associations: The Asian group is accepted by GCCF. Various breeds within the Asian group are accepted by other associations; the Burmilla, for example, is accepted by the ACF and FIFe. Those looking for Bombays are encouraged to visit the Bombay page.
