Description

The Burmilla cat breed was developed in England, originally by cross-breeding Burmese with chinchilla Persians. Burmilla kittens are of European Burmese type but differ in color, patterns, and three different coat lengths. They are recognized in black, blue, brown, chocolate and lilac at present, although other colors are being developed.

The Burmilla personality is the best of both worlds, tempering the extroverted, friendly Burmese traits with the quiet affection of the Persian.

Associations: The Burmilla is accepted by the ACF, CFA, and FIFe. In GCCF, the Burmilla is accepted as part of the Asian cat group, along with Bombay and Tiffanie.
