Bengal kittens are wilder in looks than personality. The most common pattern is spotted; a "rosetted" Bengal has larger, more open spots to give them a more jaguar-like appearance. Bengal breeders may keep F1 through F3 kittens (1-3 generations from wild ancestry) for breeding purposes, but Bengal pet buyers should insist on no closer than F4 to ensure quality temperament. Bengals are shorthaired and require little grooming.
