Notes: Peony only had one litter and had to spayed due to an infection that was caught during her C-Section. Peony's father is Camelot, a sweet lap kitten, and Peony is a very sweet lap kitten herself. We are looking for a certain type of family for Peony's forever home. We are looking for a stable single person or a couple that has no other pets and children in the family. We are looking for a quiet and peaceful home for her. Peony has the typical Tortoiseshell personality; ust Google Himalayan Tortoiseshell personality to find out about it. It is unique to tortoiseshells! Peony loves to be cuddled and loved but is not fond of having to share her special place with other pets. This may be because she was brought up in a Cattery. She loves to cuddle with me under the covers or knead dough right beside me in bed. She loves playing with my fingers and hand under the covers. She will give as much love as she gets. Peony has an extremely beautiful and long coat, but it does tend to mat unless she is groomed daily. Right now she is in a lion's cut and it should be very easy to keep her groomed when her hair grows out. Her body coat color did turn darker once she was shaved, so it could take a couple of seasons for it to come back as cream. She is a smart little girl who loves to chase the laser light up and down the walls and doors. She has extra long ear tuffs and toe tuffs. She is a doll face with a flat face but not an extreme face. Part of Peony's contract, will require her family to have her get an HCM ultrasound every 2 to 3 years and to provide the results to the Cattery. This requirement is because Peony is one of our foundation breeders and her offspring is now breeding at our Cattery. We want to ensure we continue to keep a HCM scanned negative Cattery. Until a DNA test for HCM is developed for Persians and Himalayans, scanning is the only way to ensure that our Cattery continues to be negative for these horrible disease. The information on the scans are invaluable to our Cattery. With that said, I would like to find Peony's forever home within a days drive from the Cattery or The Sound Cat in Wilmington. We are hoping that her scans can till be done at The Sound Cat. If interested in Peony, please fill out the Kitten Application on our website as thoroughly as possible giving as much information as possible about your home and family
