Cat Breed Description

The Ocicat cat breed looks like a small wild spotted cat, but is in fact a fully domestic breed originally created by combining the Siamese, Abyssinian, and American Shorthair. There is no wild blood in its ancestry.

The Ocicat personality is active, affectionate, and very social and adaptable. They have a sensitive side and can react strongly to verbal reprimands.

Notes: Violet lives with other cats but she is kind of a bossy girl. She usually stays to herself- although I sometimes find her sharing a bed with one of the other girls. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. She has always been healthy. She is a shy girl. I am sure she will hide and it will take her some time to warm up- but she likes to be petted. She rolls around and rubs on things. She is quiet but loves affection. I have asthma and I am trying very hard to place my altered cats.

Photo Cat's registered name: Dreamsong Noah of AbbysAngels
Cat's call name: Noah
Breed: Ocicat
Color: Fawn Spotted
Date of Birth (mm/dd/yy): 02/28/2011
Sex: Male; neutered
Pet or show quality? Show
Registered with: CFA, TICA
Cat's location: Felton, Pennsylvania
Home preferences: Adults-only household. No other pets in household.
Homepage where cat can be seen:
Notes: Noah has always been extremely shy. He is friendly when he is home and things are peaceful. We took him to one show as a kitten and he did well but he was so extremely afraid and hard to hold on to. We pulled him from the next show. Noah recently had a physical and his updated rabies vaccine. The vet said he had a mild heart murmur which could just have been because he was extremely stressed being there. He seems fine. He does not pick fights with other cats but if they start one- he is big and strong. He will make a great pet for someone willing to let him adjust and come out on his own. He is a beautiful cat but it is hard for me to get better pictures because he just hides when I try.
