About The Egyptian Mau These active, athletic cats have the randomly-spotted tabby pattern resembling wild cats, but are fully domesticated. In fact, the Egyptian Mau is the only naturally-occurring pedigreed breed of spotted domestic cat. They are bred in three colors: silver, bronze, and smoke, with expressive green eyes showing a slightly "worried" expression.

Egyptian Maus are very attached to their people and want to be near and involved in everything. While friendly to all, some bond strongly to a special person. In their own territory, that have boundless curiosity and will find creative ways to play; many enjoy playing in water, including sinks, showers, and toilets. They can often be trained to walk on a harness or leash.
Did You Know? Egyptian Maus are the fastest breed of domestic cat. They have been clocked running over 30 mph (48 kph).
